Heehee..he has a big head like his daddy! So, I was completely thrown off guard when they led us straight to the normal scale and wall measurement! It was such a big, but sad moment all in one. It really made me realize that he is not a baby anymore; he's two. Which he'll tell you if your lucky and if he is in the mood!
Here are a few other things that have been going on in our little two year old's world;
- He completely knows every letter of the alphabet and can even sing you the song!
- He can count to twenty, gets a little mumbled after 16 but he understands where he is going with it.
- We have been on a good streak ever since his birthday....less tantrums and so sweet! For the most part he will help out when asked, listen and do as told, and if a heated moment shall arise the word "timeout" will put a stop to it! We'll see how long this lasts.
- He has started putting his words together to make sentences. We mostly hear I want pretzel, cracker, elmo, etc. A few others are; "I'm okay", "You okay Elmo?", followed by "Elmo fall off chair," and then "Elmo's okay" (this is all heard in order after he throws elmo off a couch, chair, you name it....poor elmo). Oh and my favorite, "hey mama!"
- He says "hi" in this sweet flirty voice accompanied by a wave from his hand to EVERYONE we come across at the store, on a walk, you name it! It's like his social skills just randomly kicked in, but don't be fooled because if he doesn't like you or the situation he will not hesitate to scream at you!
- I finally figured out that he was cutting a two year molar when he screamed from the shot at his two year appointment! It is so hard figuring out what is going on in there, but I had a feeling between the behavior and the runny nose that we were dealing with teething issues, ugh! We have our first dentist appointment scheduled in a few weeks, so stay tuned! btw...it was not just one but two molars....he gave me his giddy grin at dinner tonight and I saw another one coming in; this explains alot!
