No Thank You!

Just a funny video we took of David eating his sweet peas the other night. He has not had them in a while and since we have been through the yummy fruits and sweet potatoes he has grown a distaste for them!

Texas vs. Missouri

Another win behind us and some tough games ahead to play! This is the first and only game we are getting to go to this season. Our friends Sarah and Dax from Fort Worth were nice enough to get us tickets and join us for a night out. Hook 'em Horns!

Here's one of Baby David at Grandma and Grandpa's house supporting his team! Yes, that is a Longhorn Ty-Dyed shirt.

Big Weekend

Wow! There is alot going on around here. Over the past week Tripp has been very busy.

Yep! Such a big boy; he is now fully capable of sitting up by himself. However, we do still have some falls here and there.

No problems with tummy time now! As you can see he has finally mastered the skill of rolling over. I swear this child does summer saults all over his crib. He is figuring out that rolling gets him places and is very much taking advantage of this!

This stage is so much fun. It is amazing how quickly they learn things. He is full of so much personality. Dave's nickname for him is "Drama," which is quite fitting. He tends to make everything a big spectacle; yucky faces when trying new food even though he likes it and fake coughing to get attention. He is too funny! We had a great weekend full of football and friends. We are still in celebration mode from our big win against OU. Way to go Longhorns!!! It was such a great game to watch. We are looking forward to our trip to Austin next weekend to see if they can do the same thing to Missouri. We'll see.

Fall Fun

We went to the River Oaks pumpkin patch at the Methodist Church today. Out of 39 shots we actually got one great photo! This is our favorite time of year...of course we had to change him into a cooler wardrobe once the shoot was finished. Nothing like dressing your baby in fall clothes when it is 88 degrees out!

Weekend Trip To Vegas

I surprised Dave with tickets to Las Vegas for his birthday. We went last weekend and had a great time. It was much needed time together. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for watching David. Here are some pictures from our trip.

We stayed at the Palazzo, which is the newest hotel on the strip. The hotels in Vegas just amaze me. We arrived Friday around noon and spent the afternoon viewing the hotel and laying out at the pool. Of course, there was a little gambling involved too. These are some pictures of our hotel/room. It was alot of space for two people, but REALLY nice.

Friday night we had reservations at SushiSamba. The sushi was amazing! Dave is not much of a fan, but was a great trooper. After dinner we went over to the Wynn and spent our evening at the roulette tables. We ended up winning quite a bit while there!

Saturday morning was a little rough, but we pushed through. The Longhorns vs. Arkansas game was on at 12:30
PM and we had to get to the hotel Sportsbook early to get one of these swanky lounge areas to watch the game. I have never seen a sports bar quite like this one. They had individual lounge areas with couches/pillows and your own TV so that you could watch your game of choice. We were bad fans and stopped watching the game early so that we could go see some of the other hotels. There ended up not being as much time as we would have liked, but we were able to gamble a little at Caesars and do some sight seeing on the Strip.

Saturday night we had reservations at Cut, Wolfgang Puck's new steakhouse. We decided we would rather spend our money on a really nice dinner instead of a Las Vegas show and boy was it worth it! I had the American Wagyu "Kobe Style" Filet Mignon and Dave had the Tasting of New York Sirloin, which was 3 different types of Japanese/American "Kobe Style" Sirloins. Let me tell you it was to die for. I have never tasted steak so good. I would highly recommend dinning here while in Vegas. I am a little disappointed because I did not get a picture of us out and about on Saturday night; the table set up at Cut was not conducive for photography so the picture from the website will have to do.
